Kunstverein Milano is an independent not for profit arts organisation supported by a scheme of friends and benefactors who become conceptual and economical supporters of its activities.
Thanks to the contributions of friends, members, and patrons Kunstverein has (had) the opportunity to share reflections on the administration of the arts, on the exchange and development of knowledge and on the relationship between art and its audience, as well as to organise imaginary dinners (with real food), to present and sell immaterial works of art, to juxtapose artists and works of different generations, to produce collaborative projects, and to re-balance energetic processes in the city of Milan.
In this way the artists help us to view the world around differently, and we have an opportunity to continue to investigate the present, to create encounters and conversations, to share experiences and to promote contemporary culture.
Who came by to drink a Turkish coffee over a portrait or to enjoy the performances in the ex-Guarmet jewellery-mould factory, may also like to want to take part in the overall project that is kunstverein. It will be an opportunity to meet with artists and cultural experts and to attend events, previews and discounts on our books and works of art.
